Crowns and Bridges

crowns and bridges

A dental crown (or cap) is a restoration placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to protect it and restore full function. Crowns are commonly used after root canal therapy or when a tooth can no longer support a large filling. When one or more teeth are missing, a dental bridge fills the gap by anchoring a custom crown between the surrounding healthy teeth.

Who Needs Crowns or Bridges?

Crowns are ideal for patients with cracked, broken, or severely filled teeth. Bridges are perfect for those missing one or more teeth who want to restore both their smile and bite.

Types of Crowns

Most crowns today are made of porcelain for a natural look and are often supported by a biocompatible metal frame. Metal-free porcelain crowns, made with CAD/CAM technology, offer a perfect fit and a translucent, enamel-like appearance—ideal for front teeth.

The Procedure

To place a crown or bridge, we shape the affected tooth, take impressions, and fit a temporary crown. Once your final restoration is crafted by our lab or in-house with CEREC mill, we’ll cement it permanently in place during a follow-up
